(…)Due to her admirable talent and vigor, Joanna Marcinkowska exercised complete control over the scope, size and emotions of the virtuoso 1st Piano Concerto in E flat Major by Ferenc Liszt. Encouraged by the enthusiasm of the audience, the Poznań artist played as an encore the impressive Tarantella by Liszt, requiring the same height of virtuosity from the pianist. That was another marvelous performance! It is no wonder if we remember that Ms. Marcinkowska has already gained fame with her renderings of other difficult pieces by such composers as Rachmaninov or Szymanowski.
