(…)Joanna Marcinkowska is highly talented, and—which is even more heartening—her gifts ripen at a lightning speed. At the Bydgoszcz competition, she impressed us by her performances of Schumann’s 1st Sonata and Rachmaninov’s 2nd Piano Concerto. In Antonin, she played Liszt’s Paraphrase of a theme from Verdi’s opera Rigoletto and Tarantella with virtuosity, enhanced by her inborn technical skills and a pleasant, colorful sound.
